Currently, FLOQ offers Market Order and Limit Order features. Understanding the difference between the two will help you choose between execution speed or price target flexibility. Here is the complete guide on how to use both methods:
Market Order
What is a Market Order?
In short, a Market Order is a way to buy or sell coins instantly.
When you use this feature, your transaction will be processed immediately, following the current market price at that moment.
Why choose Market Order?
No waiting: Suitable for those who want their coins to be bought (or sold) right away without having to queue.
Automatic pricing: You don’t need to worry about setting the price. The FLOQ system will automatically find the best available price in the market when you press the button.
Note: Because cryptocurrency prices can change very quickly within seconds, the final price you get might be slightly different from what you last saw on the screen.
How to Trade Using Market Order
1. Open the "Trade" Menu
2. Select the Crypto Asset you want to trade, for example (BTC, ETH, XRP)
3. Click the “Buy” or “Sell” button and enter the amount you want to trade
4. Confirm and Complete the Transaction
Limit Order
What is a Limit Order?
Limit Order is a way to buy or sell coins with a target price you set yourself.
When you use this feature, your transaction will not be completed immediately. The system will place your order in a queue and will only process it when the market price reaches the number you set.
Why choose Limit Order?
Price as Desired: You have full control. You can buy at a price lower than the current one or sell at a higher price to make a profit.
Flexible: You don’t need to constantly monitor price charts. Just set your target price, and the FLOQ system will automatically execute it once the price matches.
Note: Since you are waiting for the right price, this method requires patience! If the market price never reaches your target, your order will never be processed and will remain pending until you cancel it.
Let's follow these easy steps to use it:
How to Trade Using Limit Order
Open the main page of the FLOQ app, select the "Trade" menu
Then change the trade method at the top right corner to "Limit"
Select the coin in the top left corner, then choose the crypto asset you want to trade.
Select Order Type, On the transaction page, make sure you are on the Buy or Sell tab.
Set Target Price, Enter your desired buy or sell price manually in the available Limit Price field.
Enter Asset Amount, Specify the number of coins or Rupiah amount you want to trade. For quicker input, you can also slide the percentage slider (for example 25%, 50%, or 100%).
Review the details. If everything looks right, tap the green "Continue" button at the bottom of the screen.
A confirmation pop-up will appear. Make sure the target price and asset amount details are correct, then tap "Create Order".
Done! Your transaction is now in pending status and listed under Open Orders. The system will automatically process the transaction when the market price reaches the number you set.
How to Cancel a Market Order
- From the main page of the FLOQ app, open the History menu. You can also access History through the Trade menu.
- Select the Order tab, then open Open Orders.
- Choose the order you want to cancel, then select Cancel Order.
- On the confirmation page, select Cancel Order to proceed with cancellation.
